Many resorts can claim a family lineage, but few have a stronger past-to-present connection than Dickerson's Lake Florida ResortDickerson's Lake Florida Resort. Bob and Connie Dickerson own and operate the resort started back in 1924 by Bob's great-grandfather, Jens Dickerson, a Norwegian immigrant.

The resort Bob bought from his father in 1976 is home to thirteen charming cocoa-brown cabins, an immaculate beach and golf-course-green grounds. They've eliminated any standing water or tall grass, so there's no mosquito population. The resort sits alongside the 674 acre Lake Florida, a lake with excellent clarity that's managed for walleye, northern pike, largemouth bass, crappies, and bluegills.

The Dickersons greet guests with fresh-baked cookies in the cabins and extend hospitality through pizza parties, bonfires, Sunday morning donuts, and Thursday night hayrides.
